Cooking and Tasting Workshops

Iranian Cooking - May 12th

by Marjaneh Seifi

May, 12th  (Until this day the USA will decide whether to stay with the Iran Nuclear Deal or not)

Our friend and insider Marjanee was born in Teheran and came to Portugal in 1992. Since then we always are happy to be invited to her dinners where she spoiles us with unforgettable Iranian cooking. Now it is your chance to learn and prepare the following dishes in this hands-on workshop.

We start with “Sekanjabin”, a non-alcoholic sweet-sour drink with mint.

“Mirza Ghasemi” will be our starter. Grilled and smoked egg plants and tomatoes are the main ingredients for this vegetarian Shomali dish from Northern Iran.

Our main courses will be

- “Khoresht Ghemei”, the most  popular stew in Iran. Served with white rice

- “Shirin Polo”, a slightly sweet rice full of oriental ingredients which will take more than an hour to prepare. Served with chicken.

For dessert we will have some oriental sweets.

Like always we will serve a selection of white, rosé and red wines, this time from the one of our favourite Alentejo producers, Rovisco Garcia.

This cooking class is only open for members of our digital cooking community. Depending on the nationalities of the participants we will teach in German, Portuguese or English or in a mix of these 3 languages.

It will be held in our cooking studio in Penedo/Colares. Class starts at 11 am and ends at 5 pm.

The price per member is 80,- Euro. Maximal 10 participants.
